BRINGING TOGETHERSTAKEHOLDERS TO WORKCOLLABORATIVELY TO PREVENTSUBSTANCE MISUSE AMONG YOUTHIN OUR COMMUNITY.
HERE ARE SOME OF THE THINGSYOUR COALITION HAS BEEN UP TOLATELY
• SPREADING KINDNESS THROUGHOUTOUR COMMUNITY BY OFFERING 1000VIEWINGS OF “FINDING KIND” ANDCREATING OUR ANTI-BULLYINGKINDNESS SKIT WITH CHESHIRE TV
• WORKING WITH KHS STUDENTS ANDTHE KHS GYMNASTICS TEAM TOCONDUCT WELLNESS CHECKS CALLS ONSENIORS IN OUR COMMUNITY
• LAB’N LAGER OF KEENE HAS AGREEDTO WORK WITH THE COALITION ANDPROVIDE RESPONSIBLE SERVERTRAINING FOR THEIR STAFF, WAY TOGO LAB’N LAGER
IN ADDITION TO REDUCING YOUTH SUBSTANCE USE IN OUR COMMUNITY,MEMBERS ARE CONCERNED ABOUT AND WORKING TO:
• IMPROVE ADULT/YOUTH COMMUNICATION
• INCREASE THE ACCESS TO HEALTHY ROLE MODELS
• SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITY TO COPE WITH THE INCREASES IN ANXIETY,STRESS, AND DEPRESSION.
• GIVE OUR YOUTH ACCESS TO A SAFE PLACE WITH CARING PEOPLE WHERETHEY CAN BE THEMSELVES (MONADNOCK REGION TEEN CENTER?)
•THE COALITION WILL BE RETURNINGTO THE KEENE COMMUNITY KITCHEN TOHELP SERVE MEALS ON MARCH 31STFROM 4:30-6:15 PM PLEASE LET PETEROR MEGHAN
• COALITION MEMBERSATTENDED TRAININGS ONACES AND THE SURGE OFMETHAMPHETAMINE USE INNEW HAMPSHIRE
• 9 MEMBERS 5 YOUTHMEMBERS ATTENDED CADCA’SNATIONAL FORUM PREVENTIONCONFERENCE
• COMBINING EFFORTS WITHCOALITIONS FROM AROUND THESTATE TO EDUCATE PEOPLE ONTHE REAL FACTS OF MARIJUANALEGALIZATION AND OPPOSE HB237 AND HB 629

• NEW YOUTH GROUP CHAIRPERSON:
BAILEY HUNDLEY IS IN 9TH GRADE AND IS HELPINGTHE YOUTH COALITION BY RUNNING MEETINGS ANDPLANNING THE AGENDA. SOME FUN FACTS ABOUTBAILEY ARE THAT SHE ALSO PLAYS SOFTBALL, SHESINGS AND PLAYS SOME INSTRUMENTS LIKE THEPIANO VIOLIN, AND GUITAR.
• A NEW INTERN FROM KEENE STATE COLLEGE:
GIANNA RICCO IS A SENIOR MAJORING INPOPULATION PUBLIC HEALTH & MINORING INADDICTIONS
