About Keene Public Library's Maker Space

What is a makerspace? It’s a learning environment for people to connect with others and create meaningful projects, using technologies and other tools that might not be easily accessible.  We offer training on how to use our Makerbot Replicator 2 in the Youth Department most Mondays at 5 p.m.  On Tuesdays at 6 p.m. in the Teen Area, young people and others with advance notice can learn to use the 3D printer and other equipment at the library’s Open Hack.

The Open Hack is not about gaining unauthorized access to a computer system but it’s about making and using tools to arrive at creative solutions. Teens can learn about and gain experience using maker equipment, from Arduino microcontrollers and Micro Bits to 3D design programs and printing.
